Dear PHOENIXTN colleagues
We hope you have all received the 1st News Bulletin of PHOENIXTN, the European Network on Health and Social Welfare Policy, that we sent you, as a partner of the network, on December 22 (if you haven't, please contact webmaster@phoenixtn.net).
We asked you then to help us prepare the agenda of activities of the 2nd and 3rd year of the project (October 2002-September 2003 and October 2003-September 2004) which have to be settled now.
Many of you have already answered but not all.
We would like to ask you to please send your preferences and suggestions, BEFORE FEBRUARY 1, by filling in this survey, in order to know which working groups you would like to join and in which of the seminars proposed you intend to participate.

We are working to create a single entry point to the PhoenixTN repository.
We would like to announce you the organization of the seminar
EUROPEAN HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE POLICIES
to be held at
Evora University, Evora, Portugal, 19-21 September 2002
These are the dates chosen by partners for our first meeting in Evora, Portugal.
The good news are that the project budget will cover travel and accommodation expenses of 1 person per each partner institution, provided that you, as a partner, present a paper as your contribution to the seminar and the network activity during this year.
Please be aware that, following your suggestions, we have added two more sections to the four proposed in the 1st News Bulletin, being the seminar structured now as follows:
- Section 1: The Social Welfare Policy and the Changes of Population's Health.
- Section 2: Health and Informal Institutions.
- Section 3: Reasons for different Choices of Welfare Politics and their Consequences.
- Section 4: Innovation in Health Policy and the Geographical Scale.
- Section 5: Social Exclusion and Integration Policies.
- Section 6: National Policies on Health and Social Welfare on a Historical Perspective.
Please, fill in this questionnaire to send us the title of your paper, in which of the six sections programmed you would like to participate and a small abstract (no more than 220 words).
Send it before FEBRUARY 20.
WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR PARTICIPATION AND THE COVER OF YOUR EXPENSES IF THE ABSTRACT IS NOT SENT BEFORE THIS DEADLINE.
