The format of the workshop will consist of oral presentations (20 minutes for each paper) followed by discussion. The presentation must be backed up by a written paper. That should not be shorter than six pages (of 1800 signs) once excluded tables, images, graphics and bibliography (Times New Roman, 12 pp, line spacing 1.5); RTF format is preferred. Any table, graphic or image will be sent in a separate file, never embedded in the text document. The simpler the layout, the easier the adaptation process to print a electronic formats. If you want to use color in your graphics try to ensure that it is still be readable if printed in black and white. Color can only be guaranteed in electronic formats. Thanks for your collaboration.
The number of participants is limited to 25. Travel and accommodation costs for one NRP 51 or PhoenixTN representative for each presentation will be covered by the organizers.

RATIONALE
The aim of this international workshop is to bring together specialists from various European Countries, working in the areas of interest listed below. Researchers will present their current research on the following topics:
Health as a determinant of social integration and exclusion
- Health status of socially vulnerable groups
- Social integration of disabled persons
- Social policies and the social exclusion of mentally and physically disabled persons (i.e. eugenics, institutional segregation, etc.)
- Illness and stigmatisation
Social and cultural integration or exclusion as a determinant of individual and collective health
- Social diversity and access to health-care
- Migrants and access to health-care
- Resilience of marginalised groups
- Race, ethnicity & gender issues
- Marginalisation and inequalities in health
